THE RODSKILEGACY FOUNDATION

Honors & Recognition

The work came first. The record followed.

Rodney “DJ Rodski” Toomer has spent more than twenty years on the air and in the community in Mobile, Alabama — showing up for young people long before there was a foundation with his name on it.

The awards themselves

Kept, framed and still standing on the shelf.

Photographs of the plaques, trophies and certificates earned over the years — each one carrying a name, a year, and a room full of people who decided the work deserved saying out loud.

Photographs of the original awards. Some carry engravings that are difficult to read in a photograph, so they are shown without a caption rather than guessed at.

A legacy is only as long as the people who carry it.

The honors are a record of what has already been done. The foundation is what happens next — and it starts with the people who put their name to it.
